Different subject disciplines may emphasise different features, but, broadly speaking, an essay is a continuous piece of writing, arranged in clearly demarcated paragraphs, in which an argument (a clear line of thought) is developed, in response to a central question or proposition (thesis). The line of argument is supported by evidence you have acquired through research, which you are required to analyse, and which supports or contradicts the various perspectives explored in the course of that argument. The essay then reaches a conclusion in the final section, which pulls together the threads of your argument, supporting, qualifying or rejecting the original Dissertation.

It is worth bearing in mind that an academic essay is not a piece of writing designed to reproduce information available elsewhere, but something new and expressive of your individual abilities to analyse and synthesise.

In addition, the process of academic writing will, of itself, help you to learn, by enabling you to work with concepts and information relevant to your subject, and thereby developing your intellectual skills.

case 1:
– Global action requires global government that will remove freedom, divert productivity and set economies back 50 years. This will lead to mass starvation and deaths.

case 2:
– I’m ok

case 3:
– You assume that the actions taken are correct, do not have unintended consequences and actually solve the supposed problem. The mass starvation and loss of freedom may not be worth it even if it was correct. Government actions like: stopping fire in Yosemite – eliminated germination of new giant sequoias, attempting to spend our way out of the great depression – 20 years of 20% unemployment, 1960s welfare – destroyed countless families…

case 4:
– It’s 2+ years later already. Many of the so called facts have turned out to be wrong. The planet actually cooled during these two years. Hurricanes are down.

case 5: The un-presented case — Wait another 2 years
– The end of the world scenario is based on a straight line extrapolation of suspect data to begin with. The straight line did not happen (it never does in nature). So that said, we have time to wait and study and learn. If Al Gore and company would take their fingers out of their ears they might learn more.

Try plugging in these:
1) Biological research could lead to a runaway plague or human eating mutants
- therefore halt all biological research.

2) Radio waves could attract hostile aliens or cause mass brain tumors
- therefore stop all cell, wifi, tv, radio etc.

Your argument is the fools call to action. The end of the world has been predicted millions of times.

But she’s never accountable for anything. Anytime a criticism of her is read to her to get her response, she never responds to the comment, always to the person who made and attacks the person to discredit the comment.

Then she obviously misinterpreted the Letterman joke, intentionally or due to her stupidity, then Letterman was responsible cause she couldn’t figure out that he was playing on the fact that her daughter was sexually active. That whole thing was very telling, either she’s incredibly stupid to not understand what he was making fun of, that she made such an issue of a joke, and if it was intentional misinterpretation, that she is very much a snake and deceiver.

She was chosen to try to make McCain appeal to women and feminists and to add sex appeal to his campaign. Which went to show McCain’s poor judgement.
