I wasn’t going to post these videos but having listened to these clips and the lies and misrepresentations that Donahue makes here I feel obliged to post them. If anybody can tell me how such a monstrous excuse for a human being can be claimed to be a moral authority on anything, let me know….

One of the more interesting TED talks for me in recent times.. I’ve been hearing a lot lately about how this ‘war robotics’ is going to cause a lot of changes and this is a pretty good intro into it:

You hear a lot about ‘intelligent design’ and how the Earth is ‘perfect for humans’ and so on, but here is a fascinating video presenting a nice argument against that idea:

It’s obviously done with a slight amount of tongue in cheek and certain things are probably more beneficial than he makes them out in the video but it’s an interesting watch nevertheless…

Can anyone tell me, what is the mirror word for Misogyny? By ‘mirror’ word, I mean, what is the equivalent word in the English language for ‘hatred of men’ in the same way that misogyny is taken to mean ‘hatred of women’? I know a lot of people joke that ‘feminist’ is the answer, but I often find when talking to/reading people who identify as ‘feminist’ that their attitudes are such, that if they were talking about women they would be accused of misogyny. Any ideas out there?

I note with a combination of horror and amusement that my good friend Pat Corkery has set up a blog that you can find here. Pat’s definitely a very interesting character and somebody with a tremendous grasp and knowledge of Irish history. His blog is well worth a look…

This Guinness ad is causing a bit of a fuss around certain websites. Personally, while I can see why people would be offended, I actually don’t see what’s so unpleasant about the ad tbh….

My hard drive died today so I’m currently having to use the college computers. Given that I do all my college work off my laptop studying for my exam friday just became even harder. And frankly, I’m sick of college. I was going to put in some demotivational pictures. But the pages won’t insert. Which is kind of ironic, but mostly a further kick in the nuts.
