1000th hit

Though I’m sure most of you will wonder why - I got my 1000th hit sometime over the last day or two. While I’m sure that means nothing to most of you - especially to those of you also blogging with your millions of hits, Gavin I’m looking at you on this. For me it’s a big deal so - whayhey!

On another note, apologies to all with the recent lack of posting.

Japanese wrestling - funny but weird….

Saw this while wandering around the internet. Its a fairly demented piece of work with one very enthusiastic fan (or possibly a manager) involved (around .57 seconds on the video) and various magic tricks. Oh and if the part involving the swords and the magic box from 1.37 dosen’t strike you as odd at all… Well whatever.

Here’s a link to an article by Sarah Carey following on from the recent talk over the state of the Irish Language. She makes all the standard points in my opinion, which is not a knock against her - just a statement of the facts given that this topic comes up every so often anyway. Anyway it’s worth a look.

And on other topics altogether Richard Waghorne has a very interesting link to a profile of Hizbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. I dont agree personally with all the interepations of events in the articles but thats not anything either way.

I am returned

Well,im back. There can be the customary rejoicing etc.

Was in Killarney for the weekend with the bulk of the (now 2nd years) physics and astrophysics class. There were the usual others (like myself) who realy shouldn’t have been there under those specific reasons but…

Anyway, Killarney is very nice but rather expensive..

Personally, I can see this being a problem as I imagine that if I thought it was expensive (and im from rip-off Ireland) how would a German or French person for whom its probably easier (and cheaper) for them to head into Eastern Europe feel about it?

Probably being alarmist but once the rest of the world cops on to the fact that Ireland’s a rip-off how long until the tourists stop coming?

Feeling like I arrived at a party well after everone’s gone home…

Between the recent news at Gavins Blog and Richard Waghornes’ post here i’m feeling like setting up this blog was a bit of a waste.

Though I know that’s a bit harsh realy.

Much like Richard - i’m blogging mostly for myself for a variety of reasons - to improve my spelling and grammar (both of which are dodgy I know), to get some idea’s together and to figure out how to express them and just to figure out how to do it.

Anyway, both articles are interesting so take a look.

Not exactly what the title suggests,

For those who have been trying to put up posts but couldnt - there was some minor problems but they should be sorted now. Things happen though, so if your post is long my advice is to copy it just in case so all your efforts not wasted. I have to do that myself with posts because its happened to me.

Also, im notified about any posts so if whatever you wanted to say related to an old post - post anyway!!

Finally home from work - am now up 36 hours running and as a result am still suffering from last nights excesses (see previous post, apologies to all on that neway.)

Am waiting to hear from the ol compadres with regards to whats going on later….

And tomorrow the Waterford match¬!!

The end result of this is … there probably wont be any real posting done until monday im guessing….

Another ‘fucking dog’

Not complaining about my dog this time but someone else’s.

Went cycling today and as I passed by one of my neighbours houses this little bastard of one of theirs tried to have my leg for dinner.

The fucker ran at me, and in the process of me trying to not be bitten I ended up smashing myself off the ground and cutting the inside of my leg off the bike.

This bastard then continued to harras me, barking and occasionally making a move towards my leg.

Through a manly combination of kicks towards the fuckers head and much rock throwing I eventually escaped.

Am seriously considering a visit to the neighbours tonight with a hurley (for the dog mostly but we’el see how things go)

The last line there’s probably not going to happen but its a nice thought…

Have to be in work in 35 minutes.
