Two decades ago, I worked for the Housing Authority of New Orleans. Even then, the plan was to evict poor folk out of this very valuable real estate. But it took the cover of a hurricane to do it.
While this sounds crazy, when one considers the attitude of the like of Laura Bush in and around the time of the hurricane and the like of this article i linked to it seems like the intention is still to screw the people of New Orleans as much as possible.
