In Bruges

Saw this film last night, to put it simply, it’s the third movie that I’ve seen in a row where I would describe the tone as ‘odd’ - like ‘Juno’ & ‘Rambo’, there are moments of great seriousness in the movie which are undermined (for lack of a better word presenting itself) by the dialogue and the situation and how the characters react to it. For all that, it’s rather funny, with Colin Farrell’s (retarded? … certainly not exactly sane) hitman having some great lines… ”They’re filming midgets!!” being my own personal favourite. Anyway, it’s worth a watch for it’s sheer ‘uniqueness’.
