This is absolutely brilliant… What all politics ads should be like…
Seriously though, I’m kind of wondering how long it’l take for these ads to actually be done in the ‘real’ world….

Just heard about this here and here.
Now as I’ve said before , I’m somewhat undecided over the issue of abortion but this sort of crap is terrorism plain-and-simple. The fact that the person who did this was a Christian dosen’t realy make this any different from what a Muslim (or general lunatic) in Palestine or Iraq or any other part of the world does in an attempt to enforce their own views on people. Violence is violence.
Found this site on my travels. Headrambles. It’s a senior citizen (or so they claim, never can be sure with this internet thing) and his ramblings. Good stuff.
…With a beer fest / jazz weekend is that your going to go drinking and out in general regardless of the fact that you have work the next day…. Least I’ve another hour and a bit…
Richard Dawkins on the Colbert Report. Interesting stuff.
Just saw this video. I’d heard about it before but had never actually seen it – and as does happen sometimes it was as good as I’d heard. Incredibly imaginative and very well done, the video tells the (cheerful) history of humanity over a 4 minute mustic video.
Well, I got the highly-anticipated SSoV #1 today.
Having read the first 3 books and having seen the bulk of the 4th book but not having read the whole thing I decided that I’d just pick up this issue anyway – especially as this is definately a book that’s about the journey and not the ending.
And thankfully, that’s the attitude I went into this with because the book make’s no sense.
Well, that’s kind of unfair – but for example Mr. Miracle’s story and Klarion’s story end without any explanation of how they got there, while Frankenstien just dissappears (or maybe I just need to re-read the damn thing but somehow I don’t think I missed anything). Now, it does make sense and you can ‘get’ it by making a few guesses but… it just feels cheap.
Now obviously there was never going to be complete ‘resolution’ to the whole story especially as the idea of the series was to reboot and revamp some obsolete and unused charachters but even so the lack of a satisfying resolution (especially given the weird ‘jars’ between Father Time from this series and his appearence in Uncle Sam along with the strangeness to do with the Fourth World’s New Gods and their appearence everywhere else) ends up with this story falling flat especially as some effort to tie things together simply dosen’t happen.
If you’ve been reading this you’re going to pick up this book regardless. If you’ve heard of the book and are curious – pick it up, it’s certainly something you won’t have seen the like of before.
Lacking anything better to do, I went to see this tonight. Very good I must admit.
A very different piece of work from almost anything I’ve seen in that there are elements of Bugs Bunny-style cartoons (see the chase scene which has the ‘blurry legs’ style that you see in these sort of cartoons) itchy and scratchy (without the gore but very imaginative violence), though that also has its roots in Bugs Bunny.
The plot, what there is of one, just about makes sense but to be honest the films mostly about laughs, and some very imaginative (if very ‘comic-booky(and yes, I know that’s not a word)) fight scenes.
Anyway, if you’ve any interest in Asian action movies this is well worth a go…
