Just watching scary movie 3 – it’s rubbish but easy enuff to laugh at.
But what’s struck me is how effective the original ‘Ring’ which this film uses as its center/central element is. I know this makes me sound like an awful wee girl – but I’m getting the heebie-jeebies watching this film, not because it’s scary but because it reminds me so much of the original ‘Ring’.
And considering how many horror films I’ve watched – it’s impressive when a film has a lasting effect on me.
Just so we’re clear – I’m talking about the original Japanese version here and not the rather pathetic American version.
Anyway, if you haven’t seen the Japanese version – give it a go.
