Heard this on the radio today – didn’t believe it so I went onto the BBCnews website for confirmation, even though it had that ring of ‘so dumb it must be true’.
I am now trying to figure out how to booby-trap these potential monstrosities in order to kill anyone who buys it.
You have been warned.
UPDATE: Had a debate with myself whether to put this into the ‘music’ catagory or whethter to create an ‘abomination’ category. Decided that i’d leave the ‘abomination’ section alone until election season….

‘Ragnorok’ sounds familar, but I can’t quite remember what it is (I’m guessing it’s some band’s next album).
What’s so bad aboult Elton John doing a rap album? It couldn’t be any worse than most other rap albums. At least the guy has a streak of musicality, unlike most rappers. Besides, it would at least be interesting to hear, and it’s refreshing to see an established musician try something different.

‘Ragnarok’ is the Norse mythology’s apocalypse… kinda like the Christian revelations.
While I will agree with you that it probably wont be worse than other rap albums, I have to make clear two things: I despise rap in general with very limited exceptions and if Elton John actually wants to do something different I’d prefer if it was something completly different – not just someone unexpected (like him) doing a rap album which is the main form of popular music at the moment.
